People can have different views on feedback some people might find it pointless, however from over the years of being a student I find it an important part of learning and doing better, how you may ask?. well say you are after doing a piece of work and think that it will get 100%, but you decide to give it to lecturer for feedback, the lecturer can show you how to improve and where, will also show where have gone wrong and will remember not to make that mistake again.
From reading the two articles I feel that I have mastered why people need feedback and how people think about it
The first article was Rewire your self-critical brain . This reading is all about how the stress and thinking negativity can have an overall impact on the task that is being done, for example if you say to yourself I'm not going to pass anyway what is the point in trying, you will automatically fail as you already had in your head you were going too, compared to having a positive attitude could bring a positive outcome. It also says how stress does not help any situation and to try not to stress( easier said then done ) "When stress overwhelms you enough to keep your mood constantly low, your brain starts to gradually change".
The second article was called Neil gainmains advice on a creative life it is a quote that Neil done. In the article he is describing how mistakes are a good things, how when not making mistakes a person is not pushing themselves, not changing themselves or trying new things. I believe the message that he is trying to get across is if we don't make mistakes we are not stepping outside our comfort zone and to do better and learn more we must. He also says not to worry which in my opinion is why a lot of people don't want to make mistakes as scared or worried to see what the outcome will be, the unknown is frightening. He says "if you're not making mistakes, you're not taking enough risks."
After reading more into about mistakes I hope this year I will push myself to more and if I make a mistake it's okay everyone makes mistakes, you just have to take the feedback given and learn from it.
