First playable

This week I wanted to start writing the scripts, as I made the player controller one last week but didn't have time to start. I started by looking back on my blog from unity 1 as I didn't have enough information from my blog I went back to watch some of the tutorials on how to make the car go forward similar to the truck in the tutorial. After I made a FollowPlayer script. It took me a while to get the follow camera to work however after a few more unity tutorials I got it to work. I then added cars as the obstacles and a sky all of which I found in unity assets.  I then variable to try to get the car to jump up and down, this did not work out for me at all which was very frustrating as I did not know where I was going wrong. This is a list that I need to do for next week.

Things I need to do

  • And a variable to script to allow the car to move by using the arrow keys
  • Fix the player controller script to allow the  car to jump over the car
  • Car to follow another car
  • car go faster

  1. Hi Niamh I really like you First Playable.I think the cars and the building you added to your game look pretty cool and it actually looks like the cars are driving in a big city.I think it will be Coll if you maybe added some different buildings to your game and I think it would also look good if you added
turns to your game just to make it a little bit more alive and enjoyable for the player but overall I think you did a really good job on your game so far an I'm looking forward to see your game in action!!!

  2. Hi Niamh, this is my first time reading your blog and I just want to say that I love the background colors that you picked! I think that they really have a good contrast and compliment each other!

I think that your game is looking really good and the designs have a really good color combinations especially the buildings. I have a suggestion that I think would help to make your game better. Maybe you could add some trees on the side of the road? I think it would really make your game feel more lively and it would look less empty.

I hope that you will be able to make your car jump and make your other coding work in the future!
